Jesus was crucified on Nissan 14th, the day of the Jewish Easter, and was buried before the High / great Sabbath of the Hebrew calendar which occurs on Nissan 15th (not necessarily on a Saturday -hence its name "High Sabbath"- !), If Jesus was in the grave three days and three nights, this High Sabbath must have occurred on a Wednesday. Interestingly Daniel : 9: 24, 27 mentions that the Messiah shall "cause the sacrifice to cease" in the midst of a week because he shall be cut off -the midst of a week befalls on a Wednesday- ; Salamas : ܫܸܒܬ݂ܵܐ
